The School Day

8.30 a.m.  Staff are prepared and ready to welcome the children and parents.  Teaching Assistants will also be available at this time in either the corridor or classroom.

8.40 a.m.  The head teacher rings the school bell. The children stand still and line up in their classes on the second bell. The children then enter school a class at a time. When it is raining or in other adverse weather conditions the doors will be opened at 8.30 a.m. and the children come straight into school.

8.45 a.m.  Registration of pupils – those arriving after 9.00 a.m. are marked late for the morning session.  Parents are contacted where the child’s name appears continually late. Parents are advised to ring school/nursery on the first morning of the child’s absence by 10.00 a.m.  If no message is received by that time, the school administrator will endeavour to contact the pupil’s parents.

10.25 a.m – 10.40 a.m. Assembly.  Thursday: Hymn Practice 10.15 a.m. – 10.40 a.m.

10.40 a.m. – 10.55 a.m. Break.

12.15 p.m. End of morning session for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.

1.10 p.m. First bell is rung and the Foundation Stage children are brought in by their supervisors and go to the toilet and wash their hands. They are then settled in their class ready for afternoon registration and lessons.

1.15 p.m. The second bell is rung and the Key Stage 1 children brought in by their supervisors and go to the toilet and wash their hands. They are then settled in their class ready for afternoon registration and lessons.

2.00 p.m. – 2.10 p.m. Break.

3.10 p.m. End of the school day.

The Nursery Day

Morning sessions – 8.45 a.m. – 11.45 a.m.
Afternoon Sessions – 12.15 p.m. – 3.15 p.m.
