At Dimple Well Infant School and Nursery, we value the importance of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We believe every child deserves the best start in life to fulfil their potential.
Our Foundation Stage is made up of a 52 place Nursery and a 60-place Upper Foundation intake, which is split into two classes.
The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is split into 7 areas.
The prime areas are Communication Language and Literacy, Physical Development, Personal and Social Development.
The specific areas are Literacy (Reading and Writing) Mathematics, Understanding of the World.
Our Early Years ethos is that children become independent learners who are positively challenged allowing them to achieve with confidence. Our stimulating environments allow pupils to explore, devise, experiment, investigate and learn through play, planning and reviewing their own learning. We aim for children to become resilient, well-rounded pupils who have a lifelong love of learning. We encourage pupils to have a positive self-image, the ability to confidently communicate and to value and show respect for others. We aim for our early year’s environment to be a happy and inspiring place for everyone.
